Since two years old, Princess M started with just simple smiley drawings that expressed her feelings on that particular moment of day or time. When she is bored, she just grabs pencil and paper and start entertaining herself by drawing mostly facial expressions through smileys.
As she gets older, her drawing developed into different faces with expressive eyes and smiles. She had drawn quite a lot of faces already and there are some drawings that really caught our attention. Two of which are pictured below.
This girl amazes me for she practically knows how to draw compare to me. I can only do stick figures, while she, on the other hand are into faces. The drawing on the right is like she drew herself. Same hair length and color, long eyelashes, almond-shaped eyes and all. I am but a proud mommy of my girl who are into drawing!
It has been a while now since I did not buy my Princesses clothes and shoes. They still have a lot of nice dresses sitting in their closet. But then when we went to the outlet mall last weekend, Princess M got enticed with this pretty pink shoes, my Filipina co-worker gifted her a dress and picked yellow for her, I told her that purplish pink would go best with the shoes so we chose the latter.
Later on, as we kept on walking I realized that the big Princess does not have anything for her so we went back to Gymboree and bought her a matching dress as the little one, only with no shoes. At the end of the day, they were both happy and like the dress color very much. I am glad, I bought them something new for it makes them happy.
Shoes only cost $12.99, same goes with the dress, $12.99 each! Not so bad and yes, I believe it is a good deal.
There’s a relation between Princess M and the crunchy baby carrots. She likes it a lot, like a lot! She makes baby carrots her snacks instead of just other junks we have in the pantry. I am one proud mommy here because how many small children do you know love munching on something healthy?
I saw this little Princess last night having a good time watching tv, legs crossed and snacking on carrots. I was amazed at how she made herself comfortable without bothering me to get the carrots, instead, she went to the kitchen and served herself. What a good girl she is! I found her in this position so cute, don’t care about the world!
February 27,2017 was one of the most significant days I will not forget because it was the day Princess M decided to use her big sister’s outgrown bike (take note, without training wheels) outside. All she needed were a few pushes and she drove off like a pro.
At first, she was biking wobbly, got off the bike a few times, tiptoeing and trying to balance on the grass. But guess what? It didn’t take her long to get used of the bike and comfortably ride many rounds on an empty concreted lot next to our house.
I was amazed of this girl’s determination for deciding she wanted to use a big girl’s bike. And from that day, she was pedaling like a pro. I captured the first moments of her milestone that day pictured below.
Before she could use this bike, I had this toddler “cruzee” bike used for review without pedals surely helped her a lot. It is a bike that helps kids to just cruise with their feet and learn how to balance by lifting their feet off the ground as they continue to move forward.
Mico, a friend’s pet bird for a long time. Princesses J and M love Mico. Every time we come visit Mike in his place, they get excited of the thought being in the country, seeing Mico and Sissy the female dog he has.
Anyway, these girls have been wanting and bugging me to buy them a pet bird. I told them unless they know how to take care of their pets, they won’t get any. I bought them fish on Megan’s birthday last year, me and my husband ended up cleaning the fish water every time it gets dirty. You see, it is just a simple fish but it adds my chores to do when on day off.
Back to Mico, it’s a male bird who is tamed and is not aloof to humans as you can see in the picture below, it stayed where my girls are and he actually allowed humans to pet him. He is nice and would be great to have a bird like Mico, but no for now.
I am so proud of my Princess M for her successful fishing last weekend in Avery. Fishing is not easy, it is testing your patience as to how long you can wait for the fish to take your bait. Much more a 5-year old girl whose patience is limited.
Just when she gave up and uttered the words, “I’m tired, I give up” and voila! Something took her bait and yes, she caught her very first fish in her life. A blue gill fish in a bigger pond at a friend’s property. I will write it down here so someday she can look back and remember the date, February 19,2017 she officially became a “fisher girl”, lol.
First photo below was the very spot she got her fish. The men came to the rescue and unhooked the fish and release it to the water.
The most anticipated day of the year around the world is Christmas Day, it is celebrated because of the birth of the son of God, Jesus. Undeniably, Christmas is often associated with gift-giving to the ones that matter to us most, our family, friends, could it be strangers, co-workers and just random people who you feel like donating stuff to.
Here’s what usually happens in our household each Christmas and praying it will continue to be like this until our children have their own. Me and my husband try to be present on this day to see the joyful expressions our Princesses make when they open the gifts they wished for.
Pictures of them and how surprised, happy and glad of what they got. According to Princess 1 said that she got more than ten presents this year. Not bad huh, I think. On her wishlist she listed like 26!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THOSE WHO DROP BY AND READ THIS BLOG TODAY!
A night to remember wherein both adults and kids had fun, this can only happen once a year when Christmas is approaching. An Ugly Sweater Christmas Party 2016 took place in Island Spa Retreat hosted by a Filipina who invited Santa and Mrs. Santa. It was fun and I felt the Spirit of Christmas when Mrs. Santa started strumming her guitar and sung Christmas songs.
We had ample time to take as many pictures as we can with Mr. and Mrs. Claus that night, children got to sit on his lap and tell him their wishes, they had time to hurl questions and answers. We also had a few games which my second born won a cookie as her prize for winning the statue dance. Aside from that, the highlight of the night is a book-reading with Santa.
All the children and adults listened attentively, we were all quiet but busy taking pictures! It was a blast party. It was our second party at the same place already, looking forward for more fun Christmas parties in the coming years with Santa.
In celebration of Halloween, I gave my Princesses something to remember with and something to do in this time of the year. I opted for them to paint the little pumpkins black and whatever color they choose to go with it rather than carving jack-o-lantern because it is easier and less messy.
Unlike carving pumpkins, it takes a lot of effort just to take out all the seeds out plus the carving. I don’t want them to go through that and for sure, they want my help too which I couldn’t do yesterday as I was scheduled to cook food for them good for one week. So while they were working on their pumpkins outside, I was also busy making dinner in the kitchen.
Here are pictures of my Princesses being busy, making their creative minds work. I see the outcome is gorgeous, black pumpkins with colorful dots. I find it uncommon.
Princess M at age 5 years and a half have done a lot of interesting drawings these past few days. She would draw something, color it and tell us the story behind it. It is amazing how her creative mind works because I, myself would not be able to come up with an interesting story each time nor can I draw.
There is this favorite youtube video or game called Five Nights at Freddy’s that she loves watching a lot and eventually, she could not contain herself from drawing some of the characters which turned out pretty, in my eyes.
First Photo below are FNAF characters; Freddy, Chicha and Bonnie.
Second photo below is a story about a burglar stealing money from the bank- with band aid. The black character in the blue sky is the PD helicopter facing the burglar with band aid from crow bar with money bag.
