It’s that time of the year again when my Princesses get to decorate their own tree according to their liking. I don’t do any advice or nagging at them when they do it, I just let them be and let them enjoy doing it. It is a yearly tradition here in our household, with this, they shall carry the tradition and pass on to their future children.
They’ve done quite a job because I put the tree upstairs and the ornaments were down here in the living room, so by doing that, they must have had enough exercise going back and forth to get the tree done yesterday. Good girls for they did not stop until they thought it was done and did not even ask help from me.
I am very glad my Princesses have adjusted pretty well in their new country school. Seemed to me they never transferred school for there is no sign of depression or anything negative about their school. In fact, my Princesses thrive and continue to do good in school.
Just last Wednesday this week I picked up their report card and both teachers are very impressed with the Princesses which of course, my pleasure to hear. They make me really proud.
Princess M is an accelerated reader, third grade level and the big Princess just received a note yesterday that her teacher is nominated her to be in the GT ( gifted and talented) program. This is the second time a teacher has nominated her. Apart from that, she got accepted in UIL weeks ago, University Interscholastic League.
I am expecting the same for Princess M too as she is as smart as the big sister.
Thank God for these Princesses who never cease to get good grades in school.
There is a big event coming up in our new small little town on Saturday. We are excited and are really looking forward to it. Meanwhile, they started their Oktoberfest last Saturday and we went. Plenty of games they held and one of the must-try they had was the face painting. It is mine and my sister’s favorite activity. We love animals and we love art, combined that into one on to our face means it is awesome goodness wrapped into one.
This time it is a bit expensive, it cost mommy $10 for both of us. We had our face painted last July 4th, and it only cost her $2 for both of us. Anyway, here is our faces with beautiful paintings. We loved it but did not get to wear them longer since we had to take a shower right after arriving home, it was a beautiful day at the park but we were sweaty because we ran and played a lot. It was so much fun to be out there.
8/21 which was yesterday was the first day of school for our 1st and 4th graders. They are in their new school in the country. I heard so many positive news from our first grader, I can’t wait to hear more this afternoon when she comes home.
As for our 4th grader, she wasn’t so enthusiastic to go to school yesterday due to being unwell. I was a bit worried that she might puke in school or something for she really wasn’t looking really good when we dropped her off in the classroom yesterday. Before we left, I told the teacher that Jadyn wasn’t feeling well and she responded to me that she would call me. I have waited all day for that call but fortunately, there wasn’t any.
Meaning, Jadyn got well and did fine yesterday. She told me a little about how her day went and that she found her first friend in another section named Chloe.
Anyway, second day of school today. Our morning started rough because there’s Jadyn again acted like she was sick, she had no appetite eating breakfast but forced her to eat some of the food I gave her, of course it didn’t go smoothly. Had to raise my voice and lost my temper on her. She went to school unhappy. We shall see what’s gonna be her next excuse when she comes back this afternoon.
So far things are good in our household.
So it’s that time of the year again when we’re out of school, temperatures rising as we get past half of the year. There is a splash pad nearby that is free of entrance. It is quite a fun place to go adjacent to a huge playground in Crowley.
We are lucky enough to live not so faraway from it and can go there anytime we wish to. My Princesses love it there, I at the same time watch them while having to have a relaxation and eating time. Being outdoors in summer is essential for all of us so we don’t get tied up to the internet, electronics/gadgets all day.
When it is boring at home, this splash pad located in a nice neighborhood is a place to go!
I love dresses and so are my girls. When I buy them clothes, I make sure they match so both of them can wear the same dress and for them to know that they are equal. If there is a mommy size dress that I can find, I buy it. Luckily for me at one time, Gymboree had this blue/white stripes available for mommies and their smallest size fits me!
Sure I did not want for it to go unavailable last year, I secured one for myself though it is still a little big for me, I kept it and now enjoying wearing the same dress as my Princesses.
Yesterday we went to Premium Outlet Mall in Grand Prairie and quite called for attention from a few shoppers. They noticed our matching dresses with admiration, telling us we looked cute!
I love sweet little notes from our Princesses. Every now and then they give me anything that express their feelings at the moment or at a certain time during the day. They put it into writing and give it to me.
I am glad that these girls do that. I thought they were sweet and I like it. I hope they will continue to do so when they become adults. Like I always tell both of them, I hope they will still think or consider me their bff when they are fifteen or sixteen years old. Why? Because most kids get wild and experience puberty during that age and most likely see their parents as the bad guys.
I am praying for an easy transition for our two Princesses and we become closer as they grow old.
Our Princess M, who is soon to be 6 years old graduated kindergarten today. Proud mommy I am because she has done an excellent job in school this school year, 2016-2017. Proof are the certificates she garnered today!
Good thing I am no longer working and was able to dress her up with one of her favorite dresses, the red Kids Bowknot Beads Ruffles Lace Princess Party Wedding Dress shown in the picture below. Looking gorgeous is of utmost importance to her so I must do my best dressing her like a Princess. Someday she will remember mommy as the one who bought her beautiful dresses.
I am just beyond proud right now knowing how my little girl loved school and she showed it through her certificates. I wish her well in first grade and that she will continue to excel in school next year. I love Bey Meg Meg so much!
And below are the awards she garnered…
High Frequency Word Reading- over 100 words, Excellence in Creativity, Accelerated Reader, Model Citizenship, Creativity and Neatness in Writing, Mastery of Kindergarten Sight Words are her awards end of school year 2016-2017!
Kindergarten’s Field Day for 2017 was last Friday, May 19,2017. My husband and I were there to witness Princess M’s participation of sack race, tug of war, sprint and many other activities happened that day.
She did not get any ribbon at all and felt bad for not getting any. I assured her though that it was okay, what’s important is that she enjoyed the activities and she did her best. Told her, that is all that matters!
Below is a picture of her and classmates working so hard in order to win the tug of war which they did. It was kind of funny when she came to me and showed her red palms telling me they hurt from the rope!
It’s a late upload. Mother’s Day this year fell on May 14,2017. We celebrated by going out to have a dinner at a bbq restaurant in downtown Fort Worth with my co-worker, her son and my two Princesses.
Anyway, Mother’s Day is a special day here in America and children/grandchildren made sure they appreciated their mothers/grandmothers effort to raise them. It’s a day dedicated for mothers to show how important they are in their children’s life.
My princesses did not miss this day. I felt special because they know what’s that day was all about.
Here’s a craft from my firstborn she created in school. I thought it was cool, she really made an effort coloring these print out flowers and handed it to me when I got home from work that day.
Another thing that my second princess did was to fill in the blanks her teacher gave her and had Mrs. Brown re-wrote it for her.
Megan guess my age though and made me 12 years older. She knows me well for I love purses a lot!
