Our Favorite Place to Go in Summer

So it’s that time of the year again when we’re out of school, temperatures rising as we get past half of the year. There is a splash pad nearby that is free of entrance. It is quite a fun place to go adjacent to a huge playground in Crowley.

We are lucky enough to live not so faraway from it and can go there anytime we wish to. My Princesses love it there, I at the same time watch them while having to have a relaxation and eating time. Being outdoors in summer is essential for all of us so we don’t get tied up to the internet, electronics/gadgets all day.

When it is boring at home, this splash pad located in a nice neighborhood is a place to go!

Mommy and Dollies

I love dresses and so are my girls. When I buy them clothes, I make sure they match so both of them can wear the same dress and for them to know that they are equal. If there is a mommy size dress that I can find, I buy it. Luckily for me at one time, Gymboree had this blue/white stripes available for mommies and their smallest size fits me!

Sure I did not want for it to go unavailable last year, I secured one for myself though it is still a little big for me, I kept it and now enjoying wearing the same dress as my Princesses.

Yesterday we went to Premium Outlet Mall in Grand Prairie and quite called for attention from a few shoppers. They noticed our matching dresses with admiration, telling us we looked cute!

My BFF Note

I love sweet little notes from our Princesses. Every now and then they give me anything that express their feelings at the moment or at a certain time during the day. They put it into writing and give it to me.

I am glad that these girls do that. I thought they were sweet and I like it. I hope they will continue to do so when they become adults. Like I always tell both of them, I hope they will still think or consider me their bff when they are fifteen or sixteen years old. Why? Because most kids get wild and experience puberty during that age and most likely see their parents as the bad guys.

I am praying for an easy transition for our two Princesses and we become closer as they grow old.

Princess M Graduated Kindergarten Today!

Our Princess M, who is soon to be 6 years old graduated kindergarten today. Proud mommy I am because she has done an excellent job in school this school year, 2016-2017. Proof are the certificates she garnered today!

Good thing I am no longer working and was able to dress her up with one of her favorite dresses, the red Kids Bowknot Beads Ruffles Lace Princess Party Wedding Dress  shown in the picture below. Looking gorgeous is of utmost importance to her so I must do my best dressing her like a Princess. Someday she will remember mommy as the one who bought her beautiful dresses.

I am just beyond proud right now knowing how my little girl loved school and she showed it through her certificates. I wish her well in first grade and that she will continue to excel in school next year. I love Bey Meg Meg so much!

Kindergarten Field Day 2017

Kindergarten’s Field Day for 2017 was last Friday, May 19,2017. My husband and I were there to witness Princess M’s participation of sack race, tug of war, sprint and many other activities happened that day.

She did not get any ribbon at all and felt bad for not getting any. I assured her though that it was okay, what’s important is that she enjoyed the activities and she did her best. Told her, that is all that matters!

Below is a picture of her and classmates working so hard in order to win the tug of war which they did. It was kind of funny when she came to me and showed her red palms telling me they hurt from the rope!

Mother’s Day Craft for Mommy

It’s a late upload. Mother’s Day this year fell on May 14,2017. We celebrated by going out to have a dinner at a bbq restaurant in downtown Fort Worth with my co-worker, her son and my two Princesses.

Anyway, Mother’s Day is a special day here in America and children/grandchildren made sure they appreciated their mothers/grandmothers effort to raise them. It’s a day dedicated for mothers to show how important they are in their children’s life.

My princesses did not miss this day. I felt special because they know what’s that day was all about.

Here’s a craft from my firstborn she created in school. I thought it was cool, she really made an effort coloring these print out flowers and handed it to me when I got home from work that day.

Another thing that my second princess did was to fill in the blanks her teacher gave her and had Mrs. Brown re-wrote it for her.
Megan guess my age though and made me 12 years older. She knows me well for I love purses a lot!

Princess Megan’s Drawings

Since two years old, Princess M started with just simple smiley drawings that expressed her feelings on that particular moment of day or time. When she is bored, she just grabs pencil and paper and start entertaining herself by drawing mostly facial expressions through smileys.

As she gets older, her drawing developed into different faces with expressive eyes and smiles. She had drawn quite a lot of faces already and there are some drawings that really caught our attention. Two of which are pictured below.

This girl amazes me for she practically knows how to draw compare to me. I can only do stick figures, while she, on the other hand are into faces. The drawing on the right is like she drew herself. Same hair length and color, long eyelashes, almond-shaped eyes and all. I am but a proud mommy of my girl who are into drawing!

Matching Dresses

It has been a while now since I did not buy my Princesses clothes and shoes. They still have a lot of nice dresses sitting in their closet. But then when we went to the outlet mall last weekend, Princess M got enticed with this pretty pink shoes, my Filipina co-worker gifted her a dress and picked yellow for her, I told her that purplish pink would go best with the shoes so we chose the latter.

Later on, as we kept on walking I realized that the big Princess does not have anything for her so we went back to Gymboree and bought her a matching dress as the little one, only with no shoes. At the end of the day, they were both happy and like the dress color very much. I am glad, I bought them something new for it makes them happy.

Shoes only cost $12.99, same goes with the dress, $12.99 each! Not so bad and yes, I believe it is a good deal.

Princess M and Carrots

There’s a relation between Princess M and the crunchy baby carrots. She likes it a lot, like a lot! She makes baby carrots her snacks instead of just other junks we have in the pantry. I am one proud mommy here because how many small children do you know love munching on something healthy?

I saw this little Princess last night having a good time watching tv, legs crossed and snacking on carrots. I was amazed at how she made herself comfortable without bothering me to get the carrots, instead, she went to the kitchen and served herself. What a good girl she is! I found her in this position so cute, don’t care about the world!

Princess M can Now Ride a Big Girl’s Bike

February 27,2017 was one of the most significant days I will not forget because it was the day Princess M decided to use her big sister’s outgrown bike (take note, without training wheels) outside. All she needed were a few pushes and she drove off like a pro.

At first, she was biking wobbly, got off the bike a few times, tiptoeing and trying to balance on the grass. But guess what? It didn’t take her long to get used of the bike and comfortably ride many rounds on an empty concreted lot next to our house.

I was amazed of this girl’s determination for deciding she wanted to use a big girl’s bike. And from that day, she was pedaling like a pro. I captured the first moments of her milestone that day pictured below.

Before she could use this bike, I had this toddler “cruzee” bike used for review without pedals surely helped her a lot. It is a bike that helps kids to just cruise with their feet and learn how to balance by lifting their feet off the ground as they continue to move forward.
