It’s that time of the year again when my Princesses get to decorate their own tree according to their liking. I don’t do any advice or nagging at them when they do it, I just let them be and let them enjoy doing it. It is a yearly tradition here in our household, with this, they shall carry the tradition and pass on to their future children.
They’ve done quite a job because I put the tree upstairs and the ornaments were down here in the living room, so by doing that, they must have had enough exercise going back and forth to get the tree done yesterday. Good girls for they did not stop until they thought it was done and did not even ask help from me.
The most anticipated day of the year around the world is Christmas Day, it is celebrated because of the birth of the son of God, Jesus. Undeniably, Christmas is often associated with gift-giving to the ones that matter to us most, our family, friends, could it be strangers, co-workers and just random people who you feel like donating stuff to.
Here’s what usually happens in our household each Christmas and praying it will continue to be like this until our children have their own. Me and my husband try to be present on this day to see the joyful expressions our Princesses make when they open the gifts they wished for.
Pictures of them and how surprised, happy and glad of what they got. According to Princess 1 said that she got more than ten presents this year. Not bad huh, I think. On her wishlist she listed like 26!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THOSE WHO DROP BY AND READ THIS BLOG TODAY!
A night to remember wherein both adults and kids had fun, this can only happen once a year when Christmas is approaching. An Ugly Sweater Christmas Party 2016 took place in Island Spa Retreat hosted by a Filipina who invited Santa and Mrs. Santa. It was fun and I felt the Spirit of Christmas when Mrs. Santa started strumming her guitar and sung Christmas songs.
We had ample time to take as many pictures as we can with Mr. and Mrs. Claus that night, children got to sit on his lap and tell him their wishes, they had time to hurl questions and answers. We also had a few games which my second born won a cookie as her prize for winning the statue dance. Aside from that, the highlight of the night is a book-reading with Santa.
All the children and adults listened attentively, we were all quiet but busy taking pictures! It was a blast party. It was our second party at the same place already, looking forward for more fun Christmas parties in the coming years with Santa.
My first born, wrote her wish list months before Christmas but her bedroom is a mess, it is buried under those rubble in her bed room so I asked her again to create another wish list which she did on that same night I asked. Here’s what she got on her list. That is a lot, man. I tell yeah! Of course, not all on the list will be granted. They are all just toys and she already got a lot of it in the back room.
And the one below is my hand written wish list for the little Princess since she cannot quite read and write yet other than her name and a few short-word. She dictated the items on her list to me. Doesn’t need many but hey, they cost a lot of money if I were to buy all of them which is not going to happen.
Very late upload, I apologize for it. I have been lazy updating my blogs and besides, I have been busy attending parties, doing my motherly obligations, running a house and assisting our neighbor. Anyway, here are a few wonderful pictures of our Princesses on Christmas Day.
Like what we usually do on Jesus’ birthday, we all stay at home, even the dada made an effort to be with his family rather than go out working even if it means giving up his double pay in the past Christmases. Christmas morning, as soon as our children wake up, or whoever wakes up first would wait for the whole family to be up before the most-anticipated opening of gifts could take place. And here they are, the amazing and priceless facial expressions when they opened a present they really like ecstatic every time they like what they see… it is something I cannot forget and will treasure for the rest of our lives.
Although we did not give them everything in their wishlist but they are happy what they opened on Christmas day. There are a few more toys and lots of clothing but not included in the picture. I hope they realize that they are blessed and that they will learn to be happy and satisfied of what Santa gave them.
Princess M got a microphone disco ball because she likes to sing.
and a pink tablet from dada…
and she received a Holiday doll from tita Claire, Kaegan’s mommy in Midland, TX
big Princess got a new purple tablet too, it is a replacement of the broken one she had in the past. Dada completed it with a purple carrying case and a typepad and a protective case.
she also got an inline skates
December 4,2015 was one of the best nights my Princesses ever experienced in their life, according to them. We attended a Pajama Party that night and we did not expect that Santa would be joining us later that night. Princess M was the first one to see Santa appeared in the door and oh man, she was just mesmerized by him and stayed with Santa’s side and on his lap the entire time he was there.
Both adults and children had a really great time. Of course, it’s so fun to be around with other Filipinas and some whites and share the feast together that the host was serving. The party wasn’t only for adults. I admired how the hosts came up with an idea of crafts for the kids as well.
At first Princess J felt bored and she literally expressed that to me but then as the night went on, she learned to appreciate and joined the kids’ activities they had for the children. I will not forget our first Pajama Party ever! It was the best party for the entire family. Everybody had fun and enjoyed the night!
… Kids were attentive and listening to the story closely which was heaven for me… it’s not everyday we gather like this, be quiet and just listen.
… the kids in the craft room making a “scentsy” made with orange and cloves. They do it by poking holes into the orange and insert the cloves into it, the orange then slowly releases its juice mixed with the smell of the cloves that makes an amazing natural room freshener.
We have this 4 feet artificial Christmas tree for nine years now and I passed it on to our girls so they can have their own tree to decorate. Since they are now a bit bigger and can enjoy hanging ornaments up to it, I let them decorate their tree however they want it.
It’s the second year they are doing it and I would like to make it a tradition for them to do and grow up thinking it is the right thing to do when Christmas is approaching. As you can see in the photo below, they are busy and are trying their best beautifying their tree.
By letting them do it, it gives them a sense of accomplishment and that they are responsible and part of the family. That they too are needed and essential in this house. I even let the big sister to put up the tree top which is a blue Angel.
Christmas presents Princess M that she got from her Godmother Sheryl are too cute and girly. Thanks to her for not forgetting my little Princess this year. She gave her a pair of Princess pink sleepwear, a set of nail polishes and a little Princess play-doh.
They are so cute that the Princess love them so much and are now enjoying painting her nails and wearing the sleepwear. Not only Sheryl remembers her Godchild but J as well. As always we are appreciative of the blessings that come our way.
Christmas is the biggest celebration all Christians around the world anticipate and celebrate it with joy, prosperity and love with their families and friends. It is one of the grandest occasions to create a great bonding with whom you love.
It is at least in our home, my kids, husband and I anticipate especially on Christmas eve and the day of Jesus’ birthday. We make it a tradition to make sugar cookies every Christmas eve so to create a wonderful memory with my child/ren. I could not ask for any other way for the eve to be spent than being in the kitchen with my girl/s. Photos below I took last night showing my girls sat down having fun decorating, sprinkling sugar on the cookies.
At first there were just the two of us, my husband would come to the table occasionally, the little one joined us later and she too had fun with the squeeze tube and the cookie. Thank You, Lord for my family that you lend me. Happy Birthday!
…. photo below are some of the cookies we decorated. The severely burned one is for dada, the one with full of different colors is for Santa but J forgot to put it in the fireplace last night so Santa left with a hungry stomach.
Here’s for you all! Merry Christmas from the two Princesses! I love how my two girls looked in this photo taken from my phone. This was at Hulen mall about to see Santa. I love that they cooperated with me when I asked them to be still and sit down so mommy can take a photo of them.
The two Princesses truly are beautiful in their dress courtesy by tita Lerio of Colorado. She sent them to us last year and waited for the Holiday to come so they could wear it. It is nice to know that someone from other state thought of my girls so much and give them presents occasionally. I haven’t met her in person yet but I’d love to meet her someday… God has a way and I believe that.
